International Conference on Pharmaceutical Bioinformatics (ICPB 2016)

The International Conference on Pharmaceutical Bioinformatics (ICPB) is an international conference dedicated to the field of Pharmaceutical Bioinformatics, which will be held once a year. This is the first conference, taking place at the Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya, Thailand, during January 24-26, 2016.

Drug discovery and development is turning to an ever increasingly data intensive field. While the advent of genomics and high throughput methods has given great promises to the accelerated discovery and development of new drugs, it has in fact, turned out very difficult to translate the wealth of information into practical results. Contrary to what one could have expected, less drugs are now discovered at ever increasing costs, despite that the advances in biomedicine has made the opportunities almost limitless.

The field of Pharmaceutical Bioinformatics was founded with the aim to develop informatics and computational methods that can drive drug discovery and development effectively forward. It merges fields such as predictive sciences, cheminformatics, bioinformatics, mathematical statistics, biomedicine and computer based methods that can make drug discovery and development faster and more cost-effective.

The conference will be an excellent place for biomedical scientists, chemists, cheminformaticians, bioinformaticians, biostatisticians and pharmaceutical scientists to meet, share and exchange ideas as well as foster new research collaborations.
